Here is my new toy off Jade for xmas! I've always had a thing for knives... not in the "im gonna shank you in the facial with ma blade blood, ya get me yea".... more about well made ones, quality shiznitt ya know?
This one is made in Japan by Ichiro Hattori and when it comes to knives he is the bad man! He has been making knives for 50 years and is best mates with Hattori Hanzo off of kill bill so don't mess init.
In a similar way to the samurai sword it is folded 63 times in the forging process to make it super sharp, strong and light as well as being perfectly balanced. Because it has so many layers this is what creates the wood like pattern in the blade.
Straight out of the box the sharpness is ridiculous!
if i bust off my finger with this thing i'll be sure to blog it.
